Well a lot has happened since I've blogged last...I guess that I'm not too great at keeping up with this thing! Anyway here's the skinny.
The last week of September and the first week of October Trae had fall break so we decided to visit back home (Michigan) for about 10 days. Visiting home made me realize how much I do miss my family and my girlie girls (aka: Mara and Ilana) and the best hockey player I know at 11 years old (Lea).
I had an opportunity to spend holiday (Yom Kippur) with my entire family and eat all the carbohydrates I wanted. Needless to day the laughter was plenty and good times were had by all.
We decided to stay half of our time with my sister Lisa and the other half with my other sister in law Lisa-Marie (I know 2 sister-in-laws with the first name Lisa...then there's another Lisa that's in the immediate family too - CRAZY). We truly enoyed our time while there.
I was able to see my niece Mara run her first 5K race and she's olny 7 years old and then I also was able to see my other niece Ilana run her sirst 1 mile race. The races were all to benefit the Lymphoma Society and every race ended in the University of Michigan's football statium. (Go Wolverine's). A pretty cool sight to see but the weather was another thing. Coming from 90 degree weather to 40 degree weather was a rude awakening especially since I literally rolled out of bed, put some warmies on and went to root them on. All in all it was worth it because I didn't miss out on a pretty important part of the girlie girls lives.
I was able to meet my girlfriends new baby Lola and catch up with a lot of old friends. I also did a photo shoot for my "official" crown and banner photos with Tim Priet.
I visited my father-in-law a few times, brought him cider and fresh yummy doughnuts, had dinner, and spent as much time as I cold before he was going in for his last chemo treatment of his first run if it. It was really hard not to be able to hug him since he was getting over being sick and didn't want to get sick before his last treatment so we blew a lot of kisses and sent a lot of air hugs LOL!
My trip was great and I hope to be able to visit home again soon.
Enjoy the pictures!
Trae's first Major League Baseball game and who better to see than the Tigers in playoff season!
Grandpa (aka..Pappi) and Trae when we brought him cider and doughnuts. He couldn't have the cider though since it wasn't pasturized.
MORE PICTURES TO COME SOON! My computer is acting up.
